Top 5 Eats:
1.Ohana Family style at Polynesian-dinner! (steak, chicken and shrimp skewers with peanut sauce and a sweet and sour sauce +pasta noodles, veggies and salad) SO amazing!
2. Sleepy Hollow refreshments at magic kingdom– snacks OR lunch! -sweet and spicy fried chicken on a waffle was my pick.
3.Tutto Italian at Epcot’s Italy-dinner–Their chicken parmesan was the special and it was so good and BIG!
4. La Cantina de san angel at Epcot-lunch- Chips, salsa, empanadas, tacos. What’s not to love?
5. Frontier land snack stand at magic kingdom-directly across from the splash mountain drop/near Pecos Bill restaurant. This snack stand had these cinnamon toasted almonds that count as a snack credit. They were SO amazing. You can also get some popcorn at this stand and then right next to it grab a cup of Joffrey’s cold brew!-also a snack credit!
Runner up….Milkshakes at D-Luxe burger at Disney Springs. We tried just one flavor, smores, and it was SO delicous + they had some pretty amazing burgers.
…For some super sweet treats like cake pops, candy apples, fudge, etc, check out the souvenir gift store in fantasy land right across from the Dumbo ride at MK.
…My husbands fave was the bear claw he got everyday for breakfast at our hotels ‘roarin’ fork’-Wilderness Lodge
Top character meals:
Chef Mickey’s-meet the main characters like mickey, minnie, donald, goofy and pluto! (breakfast or dinner buffet style)
1900 Park Fare at Grand Floridian(breakfast buffet)-meet Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland, and my favorite, Winnie the Pooh + it was a treat to check out the Grand Floridian hotel!
It’s beautiful, peaceful and just nostalgic with it’s classic style.
Top 5 Rides(Magic Kingdom and Epcot):
Soarin-Epcot!
7 dwarfs mine train-Magic Kingdom
Splash Mountain-Magic Kingdom
Test Trak-Epcot
Tom Sawyer Island-Magic Kingdom
…technnically not even a ride but my kids LOVED this island and I loved the break from the crowds +it’s a classic and I love things that stay the same.
Ride we didn’t love:
Mission Space at Epcot. The G-force simulation was intense! This ride is most certainly NOT for everyone and though it was fun, it’s not something I would choose again.

Photo Ops:
Epcot:
-There’s a great view of the Epcot ball across the water from Italy.
-I also saw someone holding the eiffel tower in their hand leaving france so I tried as well 😉
….I enjoyed the France gift shop where the kidcot station was located. My last ‘chip’ mug broke so the only souvenir I bought for me at Disney was a replacement ‘Chip’ from where else but France itself 🙂
-There’s a neat line of palm trees near test trak that make for a great photo backdrop.(see above for photo of Tommy and kids)
Magic Kingdom:
-I like the views from the side of the castle looking up!(see above collage)
-The bridge near Tom Sawyer Island is where we watched fireworks new years eve and was a fantastic view of the castle and is where I got the below shot with the Liberty boat.
-By the windmill on Tom Sawyer Island(see above collage)
Disney Springs:
The ‘postcard’ near the ‘world of disney’ store with the orange trees. (see above collage)
…..take a rest at the rocking chairs across from Anthropologie!
Wilderness Lodge:
(see photos above)
-So many, but my first pick is by the Mickey and friends totem pole to measure the kids height! The one right in front of the mercantile in the lobby was super cute!
-On the bridge in front of the waterfall with the lodge view behind
….
Lodging:
We stayed at the Wildnerness Lodge this visit and I have to say it’s my favorite! Our room had a perfect fireworks view and on one of our warmer days we got to enjoy the pool.
We took the bus and boat for transportation and both were great. We did the boat a lot from magic kingdom and there was hardly ever a wait or a line so that was super nice.
The Totem poles all over, the fireplaces, the waterfall and creeks, the geyser, it was just right up our alley and I LOVED the Wilderness lodge.

The New Years Eve Fireworks Show Was Incredible…
….
and just for fun….
What a difference 4 years makes:
Tangle:
-The rain was an obstacle, but we came prepared with umbrellas(clear ones from target!)
+ ponchos of our own so that was helpful, but bring spare shoes for sure.
My daughters shoes didn’t dry by the second day so she had to wear her spare.
-New Years Eve crowd. It was shoulder to shoulder by lunch time and walking from place to place was a challenge! The lines were INSANE!
Thank goodness we had fast passes b/c we were only able to ride those we had passes for. Thank goodness for an escape from the crowds to Tom Sawyer Island.
It was neat to see all the people from the middle of the park like that. If we go back this time of year, we will consider the park hopper option so we aren’t stuck at MK at peak crowds. The fireworks later made it worth it though ;).
