Woodlands Nature Preserve-{charleston sc campgrounds}

We found this super cool hidden gem last month, but I’m just getting a chance to blog about it.

The Woodlands Nature Reserve is a fairly new beautiful place to experience the great outdoors right here in West Ashley.

It’s not your average campground and is nothing at all like a KOA so don’t expect that in the least.

It’s literally just minutes from our home but being there felt like we had gone far out of town and it was the perfect way to escape for a weekend.

We took the camper and spent 2 days exploring the property, grilling out, going to their drive in movie night where we watched Beetlejuice, hiking, and just being together.

We did what you would call ‘boondocking’ so we didn’t have any hookups at all, but they do offer some if you need that.

The weather was just right as we had a rare early October cold snap that weekend.

You can go for the day, take your own tent or camper, or rent one of their places for a night. They have a few tiny houses but also these super cute ‘zun’ tents.

Go check it out! You won’t be disappointed!
