Dip Baby Dip-{charleston sc recipes}

Holiday party, New Years or your upcoming football party!

Here are some crowd pleasing dips to make for just about any occasion!

First up:

Cowboy Caviar!(aka football dip)

This is a super refreshing and filling dip that is also pretty fun to make.

Serve with Tostitos scoops or your favorite dipping chip!

You can also use any leftover dip on top of a salad!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup olive oil

1/8 cup sugar

1 lime juiced

1/4 cup white wine vinegar

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp salt

2 Roma Tomatoes(seeded and diced)

1 15 oz. can black eyes peas(drained and rinsed)

1 15 oz can black beans(drained and rinsed)

1.5 cups sweet corn(drained)

1/2 cup green bell pepper(diced)

1 jalapeno-diced

1/2 cup chopped cilantro

You can also add chopped onion as pictured, but I like most of my recipes without any onion at all.

What to Do:

In large bowl, whisk together: olive oil, sugar, lime juice, white wine vinegar, 1/4 tsp garlic powder and salt.

Add remaining ingredients. Stir to mix.

Stir in chopped cilantro.

Cover and chill until ready to serve.

….

Cheesy Ranch Dip! (aka crack dip)

The easiest dip ever to whip up that’s super tasty and cheesy!

Ingredients:

8 oz. cream cheese

1 cup sour cream(8 oz. pack)

1 oz. package of ranch seasoning

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar

1/8 tsp salt

1/2 cup chopped crispy bacon

What to do:

Using an electric mixer, mix cream cheese, sour cream, ranch seasoning and salt.

Stir in cooked chopped bacon and shredded cheese.

Serve with wheat thin crackers or ritz!

Chocolate Chip Dip:

A sweet dip of course to round things out.

Ingredients:

8 oz. cream cheese-softened

1/4 cup butter-softened

3/4 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp. brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 cup chocolate chips(I suggest using mini chips but you can do large as well)

What to do:

Let cream cheese and butter sit out for 15 minutes to soften.

Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.

Add powdered sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract and beat until mixed well.

Fold in chocolate chips with spatula.

Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serve with:

Vanilla wafers, graham crackers, shortbread cookies or strawberries.

I prefer serving with these. It’s a great combo as these cookies are so delicious on their own, but paired with this dip and you have yourself a winner!!
