Tybee Island, GA-{Tybee Island GA}

Tybee, the coastal side of my favorite escape town, Savannah!

We took a whirlwind quick trip to the small historic beach town of Tybee just outside of Savannah GA.

EAT:

Pier 16-We sat on the rooftop deck and had fantastic seafood. Great location near the pier in the heart of Tybee.

We also ate at a Mexican place called AGAVE on the first night when Sundae cafe couldn’t accommodate our big group. Agave was great, typical Mexican fare, but Sundae cafe would be worth making a reservation for b/c the menu looked amazing.

DO:

Tybee Lighthouse!-The climb is worth the beautiful view of the island. There’s also a museum but we didn’t have enough time to spend browsing through.

Beach: It was almost 80 while we were there so it worked out to have a few hours on the beach. The beach is spacious and not overly crowded.

Shop: It was fun to walk the strip of beach shops. Most of them all had the same stuff, but you might find a treasure or two browsing around.

Tybee is a tiny town but full of great places to eat, a beautiful beach and plenty to do on a beach get-away. You can rent a golf cart or bikes and see the whole island this way.

If we had more time, bikes would have been so much fun.
